Megan Cooley Peterson is an author, editor, and coffee drinker. As a teenager, Megan was part of a cult-like doomsday church that didn’t like to be questioned. She questioned anyway. She has written more than 80 nonfiction books for children on a wide variety of topics, including dinosaurs, sharks, urban legends, and haunted objects. The Liar’s Daughter is her first YA novel. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and daughter.

First concert: The Monkees with my mom and sister.
Favorite Golden Girl: This is not easy. I love Rose because she looks & acts just like my late grandma Ardis. Dorothy is the queen of sarcasm. Blanche is comfortable in her own skin. And Sophia just says whatever she wants to say!
Team Edward or Team Jacob: Edward. Totally.
Early bird or Night Owl: Mornings are the worst. I’m definitely a night owl.
Favorite book: I re-read Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding at least once a year.
